Baby Bio: I have been so excited to have individuals from this special group to photograph. This little guy was my first and he did not disappoint! He is so pretty and his look in general is super interesting! In some ways, he’s almost like the Ambanja equivalent of a red body blue bar! He has the most striking beautiful blue bars with a lot of red in his backdrop, especially underneath his lateral line. His dad developed tons of red with age, so the fact that he is showing so much of it so early makes me really curious as to what direction he will go! This locale tends to change a ton throughout their lives so at this point, it’s really anybody’s guess! His personality could not have been more chipper. He was just such a sweet, patient little lad when I had him out for photos.

About This Pairing (F9-CG17 Ambanjas): Very excited about this new pairing! Marvin Gaye has had such a profoundly incredible range in his looks, he has gone in directions we never could have anticipated! We love this about the Ambanja locale! They can really take you on a ride! And with Chizuru Yoshida being a daughter of Meet Me At Midnight, we are imagining a blue boost in the offspring is definitely a possibility. Marvin Gaye is such a wild card though that we don't even want to make too many predictions! We very much are just looking forward to seeing wherever these little guys and gals take us!

UVB Lighting: Depending on cage size, we typically use T5 HO Reptisun 5.0 with a basking distance of 10 - 12 inches. 

Temperatures: We provide a small, designated basking area under your heat bulb of approximately 88-92°F with cooler areas available throughout the enclosure. Ambient room temperature in the 70's is great!

Hydration: We recommend one longer morning misting session (5-10 minutes) approximately 30-60 minutes after lights come on, along with 2-3 shorter misting sessions spread throughout the day. Our goal is to provide multiple daily drinking opportunities + humidity spikes while allowing the enclosure to dry between mistings.

Feeding: Currently eating 1/4” crickets. Fed 6 days per week, approximately 10-15 insects per feeding. Crickets are dusted lightly with Repashy's Calcium Plus and gutloaded with Repashy's Bug Burger and fresh fruits and veggies.
