Baby Bio: With how much Ambanjas tend to change throughout their lives, it seemed fitting that this baby changed so much during his first ever photo shoot! From moment moment, he looked so different! At times, he was really light with a lot of red in his bars, and then at other times, he had this blue haze with much darker, much more contrasty bars! He’s such a fun age because he’s definitely showing little tiny hints of color, but there is an almost infinite amount of changes still to come! His father has changed dramatically throughout his entire life! Even as an adult, he has gone through major changes. I feel like this young lad is that already following in his footsteps. Love to see it! Personality-wise, he was definitely active, definitely on the move! I can’t say that he was sold on having his picture taken, but it was his first time and he was a very good sport!

About This Pairing (F10-CG17 Ambanja group): AT LAST! The time has come for our first ever group from our sweet sweet boy, Claude Rains! Who would have earned the "most popular guy at school" award in his high school yearbook, this chameleon is just as charming as he is beautiful. And as is oftentimes the case for our Ambanjas, he has gone through some truly remarkable changes in his life with no sign of slowing down yet! It's something that we really love about the Ambanja locale, as you truly get to experience so much with one single animal. We have no doubt that Small Fry bring some of her special flare to this pairing! Her brother "Marvin Gaye" has also gone through a truly over the top transformation as well so we are getting the sense that we may see lots of changes in their offspring and we are ALL about it!

UVB Lighting: Depending on cage size, we typically use T5 HO Reptisun 5.0 with a basking distance of 10 - 12 inches. 

Temperatures: We provide a small, designated basking area under your heat bulb of approximately 88-92°F with cooler areas available throughout the enclosure. Ambient room temperature in the 70's is great!

Hydration: We recommend one longer morning misting session (5-10 minutes) approximately 30-60 minutes after lights come on, along with 2-3 shorter misting sessions spread throughout the day. Our goal is to provide multiple daily drinking opportunities + humidity spikes while allowing the enclosure to dry between mistings.

Feeding: Currently eating 1/4” crickets. Fed 6 days per week, approximately 10-15 insects per feeding. Crickets are dusted lightly with Repashy's Calcium Plus and gutloaded with Repashy's Bug Burger and fresh fruits and veggies.
