Baby Bio: A Star Gazer baby from a “high blue” Ambilobe dream pairing of ours! Let me just say- For anyone NOT interested in blue (and potentially a LOT of it), I would not recommend this baby, or possibly any of his siblings for that matter 😬! He has the blues coming at him STRONGLY from both sides of his family tree, and you can see that even after taking just one look at him! He is like this beautiful little nod to many of the other noteworthy high blue animals in his family tree! I think of names like Lefty, Braveheart, and certainly his grandfather on mom’s side, Blue Breeze. It’s one of our favorite looks ever and we just couldn’t be more excited to see what direction this exciting new pairing takes our “blue kreep” genre! And his personality seems excellent as well! He was maybe a little cautious about the camera, but, he did a great job and never gave me a hard time. Plus, he has the roundest belly and the roundest little head you’ve ever seen! He is just perfect!

About This Pairing (F11-CG16): What a fun new pairing for our guy, Star Gazer!! I think there is potential for some STRONG blues in these offspring! Both sides of the family tree are known their "high blue" qualities. This is a term that my dad uses for our Ambilobes from these types of bloodlines where the blue is extra prevalent. While other colors can definitely be expected as well, I will put it this way...I would be almost surprised if blue was not the star of the show for most of the boys from this pairing! Time will tell and we are all super excited to see what they are all about!

UVB Lighting: Depending on cage size, we typically use T5 HO Reptisun 5.0 with a basking distance of 10 - 12 inches. 

Temperatures: We provide a small, designated basking area under your heat bulb of approximately 88-92°F with cooler areas available throughout the enclosure. Ambient room temperature in the 70's is great!

Hydration: We recommend one longer morning misting session (5-10 minutes) approximately 30-60 minutes after lights come on, along with 2-3 shorter misting sessions spread throughout the day. Our goal is to provide multiple daily drinking opportunities + humidity spikes while allowing the enclosure to dry between mistings.

Feeding: Currently eating 1/4” crickets. Fed 6 days per week, approximately 10-15 insects per feeding. Crickets are dusted lightly with Repashy's Calcium Plus and gutloaded with Repashy's Bug Burger and fresh fruits and veggies.
